Fundraise

Raise Money With Us.

Running a race, marking a birthday, or taking on something big — build your own fundraising page in a few minutes.

People in this community have raised money for BCF without being asked. That’s the best endorsement we could get, and it’s why we built somewhere for it to live.

Create your own page, set a goal, and share it with the people who know you. Every dollar funds free diabetes education — courses, tools, and the programs that put people with type 1 in the same room.

Three ways people do it.

  1. Race for BCF.

If you’re running a 5K, a half, a marathon, or a Ragnar leg, fundraise alongside it. Your people already want to support you — this gives them somewhere to put it.

  2. Birthdays and milestones.

Ask for donations instead of gifts. These work well because the people giving are already in a generous mood.

  3. Anything else.

A climb, a challenge, a chapter meetup, a project of your own. Tell us what you’re doing and we’ll help you set it up.

What you’re raising for.

Everything you raise funds free diabetes education for people living with type 1:

  • Courses that help people understand their own diabetes — built around their goals and how they actually live, not a plan handed to them
  • Tools that make insulin visible, so people can understand what’s happening in their body instead of guessing
  • Training for the health networks, clinics, and camps already teaching diabetes, so it lands better
  • Community — local run groups and weekends outdoors where people learn by doing, alongside others with type 1
  • Access — free, printed for people without reliable internet, and translated

What we give you.

  • Your own page under the BCF campaign, with a goal and a progress bar
  • Social captions and email templates you can use as-is
  • Photos from our programs
  • Impact amounts, so you can tell people what their gift actually does
  • A short call with us before you launch, if you want one

A note on Facebook and Instagram.

You can fundraise for us directly on Facebook, and plenty of people do. It’s easy and it works.

One thing worth knowing: Facebook doesn’t pass along donor email addresses, so we can’t thank the people who gave through it or tell them what their gift did. If you’d rather your donors hear from us, use a BCF fundraising page and share the link in your Facebook or Instagram post instead. Same reach, and we get to say thank you.

Start your page.

Create your page in a few minutes, or email info@betacellfoundation.org and we’ll set it up with you.
